Please review the many volunteer
opportunities that exist. Requests are honored
on a first-come, first reserved basis. We ask everyone to
sign up for at least two shifts. All volunteers are
required to sign a liability waiver form prior to their
first shift. Those under 18 must have a parent or guardian
signature!
Beach Events
- Sand sculpture, volleyball - sun, fun,
and sand. What more could you want from a volunteer
assignment?
Building & Maintenance
skills - If you're handy with a
hammer or ready with a wrench we've got projects for you!
Clean Team - One of the reasons
the Festival is so successful is that we leave our host city as
clean as we found it. Pitch in!
Craft Show
- From check-in to booth sitting, we need friendly people to
assist with this Saturday and Sunday event!
Ice Team - This could be the
coolest spot at the Festival! Help distribute ice to
the vendors and event venues.
Kids' Games
- Come be a kid again! Hundreds of kids delight in the fun
and games we have to offer.
Parking Lot Monitor
- Stand guard at reserved lot entrances to help vendors,
merchants, sponsors and other volunteers get where they need to
go. Firm but friendly types needed here. Help direct
classic car owners with positioning their vehicles along Lake
Boulevard on Thursday evening.
Set-Up/Take Down - We especially
need people to work with their hands and who are able to lift and
carry things. A driver's license may be required. Set-up begins 3
days before Festival and take down lasts 2 days afterward. This is
a great chance to get involved yet miss none of the Festival.
Shuttle Ambassadors
- Be a guide to the Festival while greeting the Shuttle bus
riders. Give a great first impression to those riding the
Shuttles, many of whom are visitors to this area.
Special Projects
- If you like to work on office projects or have a special skill
like carpentry or computers, we need you! Festival planning is a
year-round operation and we need assistance on projects
throughout the year.
Stage Crew
- Always popular, this fills up fast! Dedication, ability to
lift heavy equipment and a willingness to work long hours and
pitch in wherever the stage manager has a need is a must.
Team Venetian
Ambassadors - Greet your fellow
team members. Be sure they get a shirt, sign a form, get fed. Be
appreciated. Answer questions, hand out maps, give
directions, and assist with Festival information.
Venetian River Run/Walk - Be
there on Saturday morning to help runners and walkers get signed
in, and lend assistance during and after the event.
Shifts are usually three hours and we ask
that you sign up for two or more shifts.
